What to look for when choosing fishing tackle backpacks:

Size:   Will you have a lot of gear and accessories? need to carry and how long will your outing last?  If your trip will only be a few hours, you can probably get by with a smaller tackle bag.  However, think in terms of future fishing trips, too.  A large bag may be your best overall value.

Straps:  Usually large, wide straps even weight distribution and make the backpack more comfortable to carry.  Straps should be made of strong, durable material.

Organization:  How many pockets do you think you need for your trays and other gear?  Are the pockets easy to access?

Waterproof:  Many fishing backpacks are water resistance, but check to make sure.

Zippers:  Check the zipper pull. It should be strong. Does it rest on the zipper track without any bulging?  These are questions to consider if you don't want to deal with zippers that won't go all the way up or down or of if the zipper pull breaks.

Here are some of the best and most popular fishing backpacks.  Take a look.
